Lulu Stewart resides in Pioneertown and created this creosote salve to ward off the effects of the harsh desert.

Desert rain salve is a blend of harvested creosote from nearby Pipes Canyon, extra virgin olive oil and pure beeswax. The creosote is trimmed then dried in the sun for a week.

After the drying, the plant is submerged in a glass jar of extra virgin olive oil to cure for 6 weeks. The golden creosote oil is then strained and then cooked with beeswax.
